Politicians demand a review of the way in which painkillers are bought and sold as cases of poisoning surge
The prime minister’s Liberal Party concedes that the good intentions and campaigns have failed to prevent a rise in the number of overdoses with painkilling medication, reports Politiken newspaper.
‘We’ve tried with campaigns and information and we just have to admit that it hasn’t worked. The numbers are rising. It’s very unfortunate,’ said Preben Rudiengaard, who is in charge of parliament’s Pubic Health Committee.
